When?

12th December 2027 to 23rd December 2027

Where?

Niseko Japan, the worlds greatest snow,
accommodations will be in the town of kutchan (a 10 min drive to ski lifts)

How?

arrive in Sapporo chitose airport, meet our staff members at arrivals, after that all you need to think about is the skiing. all transport, food and activities will be covered. have a great time, achive your goals and then be taken back to the airport!

Whats not Included

Deposit

A 50% deposit will be required to sign up for the course,
this payment will be due by October 31st 2026

A additional payment of 15% will be due by the 20th July 2027

complete payment is due by 31st October 2027

Who are we

Drop in academy was created by Chris Painter as a way to introduce school leaves to the ski industry and set them up for success, Chris has spent the last 20 years as a Instructor, trainer and coach, Originally started skiing at Thredbo ski resort in Australia where is is still based for the southern hemisphere season. he has spent winters in Canada, the US, Korea, Italy and Austria Throughout the years Chris has taught everything from two year old’s first snow experiences, to training ski instructors in Japan to coaching Olympic Hopefuls. Chris’ passion for the mountains and skiing bleeds through all parts of his life and he finds Joy in sharing the world of the ski industy.

What is the Apsi? Do i need to be a memeber?

the APSI is the Australian professional Snowsports instructor association, they are the governing body that certifies instructors under the Australian system that is recognized world wide.
yes to be eligible to sit and obtain a level one certificate you must be a active member of the APSI

Can I stay in Japan after the camp? can I work

Yes you can! Japanese tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days.
your seasons Pass will be active for the whole seasons, our team can help with other trip plans and finding accommodation for the remainder of your trip.

If you wanted to work for the winter season, you must first hold a valid Japanese working holiday permit. we have a associate ski school that would have 2-3 positions availible to work directly after the course and the level one certificate has been obtained
